945.7 StM
Vero Beach, FL - Jones' Pier Conservation Area located directly on the ICW is a 16 acre original homestead that is under development by Indian River County as a recreational area to include wetlands and walking trails. There is currently a 150’ face dock and 100’ inner dock connected by a 100’ pier to land. Daytime docking is permitted with no overnight docking allow. The pier was originally built in 1910 for citrus growers to transport their fruit from the barrier island to the mainland.
The Free Dock provides access to the Conservation Area as well as the 7.8 mile Historic Jungle Trail which is a hard packed sand road running along the Indian River. Thanks much to ICW Free Docks contributor Jim Quince aboard m/v Twins for information on Jones’ Pier Free Dock.
